Available for all typical forms of construction for a wide range of cavity sizes the FireSok barrier is 'cavity fire barrier' as specified in Document B of the Building Regulations.
The fire barrier is a compression-fit design which is deliberately oversized to give a safe and secure fit inside a cavity. For use around openings, at junctions and between floors to provide an hour of fire resistance.
The flanged (-T) version is designed to be pinned in timber or steel frame applications.
The normal version (-B) comes without flanges for simple placement into the cavity.
All the products are fully fire-tested by Chiltern International in accordance with BS 476. The products achieve 1 hour of tested fire protection in both horizontal and vertical positions.
